Activity workshop

Vocabulary bingo generator

Make different bingo cards from your vocabulary. Add definitions for the caller and choose a 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5 grid.

Make it yours

Changes the examples and printed instructions, independently of the website language. Your own text stays as entered.

One item per line. For matching cards or bingo definitions use word | definition. Maximum 80 items, 60 characters per item.

Check the preview before printing a class set. Age ranges are suggestions, not curriculum claims.

How to use it

Choose enough different words for your grid. Add optional definitions after a vertical bar. Give learners different cards. Read the words or definitions from the caller sheet in a shuffled order. A learner marks a matching cell.

Agree on a winning pattern before starting and check it against the caller sheet.

Adapt the activity

For an easier task, use fewer familiar items, a smaller grid and a visible word list. For more challenge, use definitions, add diagonal directions or ask learners to explain each answer. Test one sheet before making copies.
