How to use it
Start with the editable source below. The generator makes real student activities and separate checking pages. Read the instructions, adapt the list to your group and download a fresh PDF.
Enter words and definitions, then select the activities and page order. Choose paper size, student copies and the ink-saving option. Download the combined PDF. Give out student pages only; keep the instructions and answers.
Reuse the same word list for a short warm-up and a later review.

Adapt the activity
For an easier task, use fewer familiar items, a smaller grid and a visible word list. For more challenge, use definitions, add diagonal directions or ask learners to explain each answer. Test one sheet before making copies.

Works with plain word lists too: matching cards then use identical word pairs. Add definitions or translations with | for a meaning-based task.
PDF downloads directly. You can also print from the browser. Choose A4 or Letter and print at actual size. The PDF contains image-based pages so accents are preserved.
